Foldable Batteries: its Amazing

Have you ever heard or thought that we can have a foldable smartphones in future.????

NO......

In this greatest technologically advanced world nothing is impossible. So now the world will be able to see the Foldable smartphones, lets see how and give you a brief specifications of the Smartphone..

This all is possible only because of the high-performance flexible battery that can be folded, twisted. You have already heard about flexible displays, printed circuits, memory and even chargers. But scientists have now created a flexible battery that can be folded, bent and distorted in a host of different ways. These batteries promise thinner and lighter 'foldable' electronics including smartphones, tablets and e-book readers that could be flexible and hold more capacity. Yes, you read that right! You could roll up these devices for easy storage in your pocket.

A team of researchers at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is behind the new flexible solid-state battery. This rechargeable lithium-ion battery (LIB) retains its energy level even when folded, spindled, or mildly mutilated. It is actually printed on a thin film. Applying battery material to rollable displays has been a major cause for concern for the gadget manufacturers thus far. But it seems like this breakthrough is likely to change the way we think about surfaces and screens.

Professor Lee from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, KAIST said, "The advent of a high-performance flexible thin film battery will accelerate the development of next-generation fully flexible electronic systems in combination with existing flexible components such as display, memory, and LED."

The research team is currently investigating a laser lift-off technology to facilitate the mass production of flexible LIBs and 3D stacking structures to enhance charge density of batteries.

I have previously talked about a bendable Smart TV, which can be folded and so lets see in future what all will be there in folded forms...... and if you know about such other devices please let us know.
