1) Hong Kong - 65.1 Mbps 

Maintaining its position as the country with the fastest internet, Hong Kong is still the no. 1 on the list with peak speed of 65.1Mbps. Although this is 0.9 per cent fall as compared to past quarter, but it is a 32 per cent growth as compared to last year.

Google has introduced its Google Fibre service in Kansas City, Missouri. The Internet giant claims it to be the world's fastest Internet connection offering download speeds of one gigabit per second(GbPS). Presently, this is the fastest speed available anywhere in this planet. Google Fibre uses optical fibre technology and includes more than 100 networks and costs $120 a month for a package of TV, 1 Gbps Internet speed and 1 terabyte of cloud storage. 


For the Internet-only package, customers have to pay $70 a month. The installation charges are $300, according to Google executives. The Daily Mail reported that Google is also looking forward to introduce the service to other cities in the near future. “Access is the next frontier that needs to be opened, we’re going to do it profitably. That is our plan,” Google chief financial officer, Patrick Pichette, said in The Hindu Business Line report.
