Foldable Batteries: its Amazing

Have you ever heard or thought that we can have a foldable smartphones in future.????

NO......

In this greatest technologically advanced world nothing is impossible. So now the world will be able to see the Foldable smartphones, lets see how and give you a brief specifications of the Smartphone..

This all is possible only because of the high-performance flexible battery that can be folded, twisted. You have already heard about flexible displays, printed circuits, memory and even chargers. But scientists have now created a flexible battery that can be folded, bent and distorted in a host of different ways. These batteries promise thinner and lighter 'foldable' electronics including smartphones, tablets and e-book readers that could be flexible and hold more capacity. Yes, you read that right! You could roll up these devices for easy storage in your pocket.

A team of researchers at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is behind the new flexible solid-state battery. This rechargeable lithium-ion battery (LIB) retains its energy level even when folded, spindled, or mildly mutilated. It is actually printed on a thin film. Applying battery material to rollable displays has been a major cause for concern for the gadget manufacturers thus far. But it seems like this breakthrough is likely to change the way we think about surfaces and screens.

Professor Lee from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, KAIST said, "The advent of a high-performance flexible thin film battery will accelerate the development of next-generation fully flexible electronic systems in combination with existing flexible components such as display, memory, and LED."

The research team is currently investigating a laser lift-off technology to facilitate the mass production of flexible LIBs and 3D stacking structures to enhance charge density of batteries.

I have previously talked about a bendable Smart TV, which can be folded and so lets see in future what all will be there in folded forms...... and if you know about such other devices please let us know.

The Mystery Planet Mars

The Red planet Mars is always been a mystery for all the scientist in NASA.

This planet is in observation since a long time but still NASA is not confident enough to say whether life can exist there or not. Lord Rees of Ludlow said the US space agency's mission to determine whether the Red Planet could have supported life was the first step in accessing Earth's nearest neighbor. He said the exploration project could mark the start of the "post-human era" despite the risks associated with traveling into the solar system.

"But I believe, and hope, that some people living now will walk on Mars. Moreover, a century or two from now, small groups of intrepid adventurers may be living there or perhaps on asteroids quite independently from Earth."After the successful mission of curiosity rover.

Lord Rees predicted a "dramatic cultural and technological evolution" on the planet and beyond as scientists learn more about Mars.
Nasa's car-sized robot has the capacity to take samples and record the composition of rocks as well as carry out tests to establish the elements that make up the landscape.
Announcing the success of the mission, Charles Bolden, Nasa administrator, said it would "blaze a trail for human footprints on Mars".

"Where would this generation be without the space programme? People wouldn't be watching the Olympics on the other side of the world,"

"And, of course, there is the hope that Curiosity will find the answer to that philosophical question – are we alone in the universe?"

So we have to wait for some more years for this mystery to be solved..........

Propeller Clock-An Amazing Illusion

It was great to see a propeller clock circuit and its working. The great use of chips display the illusion of a clock in air with LEDs.

A motor spins the "propeller", and a small microprocessor keeps track of time and changes the pattern on seven LEDs with exact timing to simulate a 7 by 30 array of LEDs. It is an illusion, but it works nicely.

Books that Generate Money in Your Dreams

TOP BOOKS WHICH ARE STRANGE DIFFERENT AND MOTIVATING

If you are free and you don't know what to do then i will suggest you to go through any one or more books out of these ten books which i had briefly described below.

First time when i heard about these books,.. i was traveling to Bangalore(India) in train. I was going to meet my brother but this time i was amazed by two kind of personalities sitting beside me. One was young and other was aged  and experienced person, then we had a good conversation between us. The experienced person(aged one) told me about these 10 different books. These books are read by many peoples, great and common citizens and many told that 'yes these books are different, they will change your life style'. Let me make it clear that the number allocated to the book is having no relation with the book priority, its for general sorting order.

They are:

1."See you at the top"- By Zig Ziglar

This book is totally different as said by many persons and the book itself says the same. The book begins with "THE END", as i said you,.... its different book,.... in 'feel', 'subject matter' and 'technique'.

2."The Power of Your Subconscious Mind"- By Joseph Murphy

Another good book, as the author said "unlock your master key to success" and it has all that you need to maximize your success. What are you waiting for go and have a look at it, its the key for your brain/mind.

4."Rich dad, poor dad"- By Robert T. Kiyosaki, Sharon L. Lechter

What the rich teach their kids about money that the poor and middle class do not!.

Personal-finance author and lecturer Robert Kiyosaki developed his unique economic perspective through exposure to a pair of disparate influences: his own highly educated but fiscally unstable father, and the multimillionaire eighth-grade dropout father of his closest friend. The lifelong monetary problems experienced by his "poor dad" (whose weekly paychecks, while respectable, were never quite sufficient to meet family needs) pounded home the counterpoint communicated by his "rich dad" (that "the poor and the middle class work for money," but "the rich have money work for them"). Taking that message to heart, Kiyosaki was able to retire at 47. Rich Dad, Poor Dad, written with consultant and CPA Sharon L. Lechter, lays out his the philosophy behind his relationship with money. Although Kiyosaki can take a frustratingly long time to make his points, his book nonetheless compellingly advocates for the type of "financial literacy" that's never taught in schools.

5."The Power of Positive Thinking"- By Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

I doesn't think the book need any description as the name of the book suggest its about positive thinking.

6."Megaliving: 30 Days To A Perfect Life"- By Robin Sharma

Laptops May Affect Male Fertility

With the Increase in population the usage of laptops is also increasing exponentially, so this topic is needed to be shared with everyone....

DO YOU HAVE LAPTOP ?

Laptops, Internet, Smartphones, and Bikes are the basic needs of this generation so I think Laptop is present with more than 70% of worlds population. And also all of you are merely busy browsing net now a days.
Millions of millions of men are using laptops especially those in the reproductive age range.
As the name indicates Laptops are meant because they are portable and are basically kept on laps, BUT HAVE YOU EVER PONDERED THAT it can cause you some problem in future.?

NO.... NEVER..............

According to YELIM SHEYNKIN (a urologist at State University of New York at Stony Brook) said that When you use laptops keeping on your laps then after just 10 to 15mins the temperature of your reproductive organ go above the optimum level but you are not aware, which can cause you some reproductive problem in future or may affect male fertility.
Instead you can use cooling pads available in the market....

I wouldn't say that if you start to use laptops, you will become infertile though frequent use might contribute to reproductive problems.

So guys be prepared and try to use cooling pads, its not only for your welfare but also think for the future generation of World.

Digital Iris Can Fool Biometric Scanners

At the recently held Black Hat Security conference by academics in Spain and the U.S., a new technique of recreating iris images using the digital codes that are stored in databases and used by iris-recognition systems to identify people was shown. Interestingly, the replica images were so amazing that they could even trick the commercially graded iris-recognition systems.

“The idea is to generate the iris image, and once you have the image you can actually print it and show it to the recognition system, and it will say ‘okay, this is the [right] guy,’” says Javier Galbally, who conducted the research with colleagues at the Biometric Recognition Group-ATVS, at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, and researchers at West Virginia University.

Earlier, researchers could create wholly synthetic iris images with the characteristics of real iris images. Though the images fooled iris-recognition systems into thinking they were real irises, but the problem was they were not quite useful in impersonating a real person.

"But this is the first time anyone has essentially reverse-engineered iris codes to create iris images that closely match the eye images of real subjects, creating the possibility of stealing someone’s identity through their iris," mentions a report by Threat Level.

“At each iteration it uses the synthetic images of the previous iteration to produce a new set of synthetic iris images that have an iris code which is more similar (than the synthetic images of the previous iteration) to the iris code being reconstructed,” Galbally says.

Pacemakers and other Medical Devices Can be Hacked

Hacking a computer is not a difficult task now a days but killing or injuring a person like this could be interesting case to resolve & very good tactics to make people scary about these things & nice planning to promote and sell their new medical product as well.

Computers and smartphones aren’t the only electronics that can be hacked. Alarmingly, during the past few years several researchers have found that wireless and wearable medical devices, like pacemakers, insulin-delivery systems, and neural implants, are vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Though none have reportedly been hacked in field use yet, researchers have been hard at work finding ways to secure such medical devices before it’s too late.

A team of professors and graduate students from Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Ind., and Princeton University recently developed a prototype firewall that could go a long way in warding off attacks.
The group includes Meng Zhang, an electrical engineering graduate student at Princeton; IEEE Fellow Anand Raghunathan, a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue; and IEEE Fellow Niraj K. Jha, a professor of electrical engineering at Princeton.

The team was inspired to develop its prototype, Medmon, after researching the vulnerability of a variety of medical devices in 2011, including pacemakers, glucose-monitoring and insulin-delivery systems, neural implants, and so-called smart prosthetics. “Our work showed that these are surprisingly easy to hack,” Raghunathan says.

“The correct functioning of implantable and wearable medical appliances is life-critical,” he says. “Any security attacks that can disrupt them, or even leak private information, are of great concern.”
Breaking into an insulin pump is not difficult, and it takes only a small investment. “A few research groups, including ours, have shown that medical devices can be hacked using relatively inexpensive [worth less than US $1000] off-the-shelf equipment such as a PC and a software-programmable radio,” Jha says. “We were able to snoop on sensitive health information and take control of the insulin pump to prevent the delivery of insulin or to deliver it when it was not needed.”

Although the likelihood of someone’s insulin pump being hacked is considered low, the researchers say it’s important to act now, before an incident occurs.

But I think, this research is in its preliminary stages so its difficult to say that hackers have access or can attack these devices!
I think, perhaps we need a new protocol or VPN like thing for the implanted devices.
